Every effort is made to nurture and encourage those with a sincere desire to stay sober. We believe that chemical dependency is a treatable disease, as deserving of concern for a person's well being as anyone recovering from a life-threatening illness. Though it is possible for anyone to recover from this illness, some individuals seem more motivated to go to the necessary lengths to acheive a stable recovery.
We hope to provide these individuals, in their early recovery, the opportunity and atmosphere conducive to working a program of recovery, as well as the resources to build stable relationships in the sober community after leaving primary or extended care treatment.
In addition, SSSHP will attempt to provide transitional housing for those individuals leaving a primary treatment and awaiting an opening in an extended care program. Length of stay and housing arrangements are as flexible as possible in order to accomodate individual needs.
